Abstract

The objective of this paper is to describe the experience of the Health Informatics Department (HID) of the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (HIBA) in virtual and distance education, training professionals in Health Informatics. This also implies the articulation of the proposed postgraduate Master in Health Informatics. To fulfill the objective we will follow a timeline where the main milestones are shown. For a better understanding these instances were divided into two, the implementation of a virtual platform and subsequent development of virtual courses on one hand, and the development of the residency program, the specialist career and its subsequent transformation to a master's degree on the other.
