Abstract

HIV points to the significant connections with programs on sexual and reproductive health. We aim to reflect on public policies for people living with HIV / AIDS, taking into account their sexual and reproductive rights. Through a reflective study, we take into consideration the following thematic categories: Brazilian policies on HIV / AIDS, the civil society in the Brazilian policies for the HIV / AIDS epidemic, sexual and reproductive rights in the presence of HIV, sexual and reproductive rights: stigma and vulnerability. We notice the need to discuss professional practice to make real what had already been considered law, but also the implementation of affirmative policies for sexual and reproductive rights and the seek for the elimination of stigmas on HIV, which is presented as an important item for discussion.
