Resumen

This study aimed at identifying the behavior and attitudes that facilitated and the ones that damaged the teacher-student relationship experienced in a Nursing undergraduate program, from the students’ point of view. We applied a questionnaire to sixteen students of a public university in the state of Ceará. Dialogue, friendship, flexibility and readiness on the part of the teachers of the program were mentioned as factors that favor the teacher-student relationship. Authoritarianism, intransigence and lack of flexibility were mentioned as prejudicial to this relationship. Thus, we can notice how relevant it is for teachers and students to be committed to the construction of a relationship that pursues the enhancement of the teaching-learning process.
