Resumo

In the past decades the use of hormonal replacement therapy for climacteric woman has been questioned by researchers in the area, as far as advantages and disadvantages of the mentioned therapy are concerned. Hence, the need for an ethical reflection regarding the orientation of health professionals involved in the assistance to climacteric. It is a question of a reflexive nature study supported in the literature pertinent to the theme in question, aiming at approaching the orientation of Nursing towards climacteric woman as regards the use of hormonal replacement therapy in the phase of climacteric, taking into account the ethical question and giving priority to woman s autonomy in the choice of her treatment.
