Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the response of soybeans cultivars to phosphorous fertilization under Brazilian Cerrado conditions in Roraima State. The experimental design was random blocks in a factorial system (4X4) with four soybeans cultivars (Paiaguases, FT 106, Mirador, and FT 107) and four levels of phosphorus application (0, 90, 180, and 270 kg ha-1 P2O5), with three replicates. Plant height and first pod insertion height were adequate for mechanical harvest. Overall, the number of nodules in Mirador cultivar was significantly higher than those of the others cultivars. Cultivar Paiaguases presented the highest mass for the amount of 100 beans. Cultivars Paiaguases and FT 107 presented the highest yields, 2.995,9 kg ha-1 and 2806,7 kg ha-1, respectively. The phosphorous dosage that produced best yield, within the experimental design, was 270 kg ha-1 P2O5.
