Cercosporoid hyphomycetes on plants from Ceará State (Brazil)

Abstract

In this paper is presented a list of cercosporoid hyphomycetes from plants of Ceará State (Brazil). Eight new species of  Passalora, 29 of  Pseudocercospora, and eight of  Stenella are included, besides  three new combinations for Passalora, five for  Pseudocercospora and 1 new variety for Ramularia. New host plants for Cercospora apii s. lat. are also included. The importance of studying the fungi biodiversity on different types of vegetation of Ceará State is discussed.
