Abstract

This article aims to analyze the cinema as a sensorial dispositive through the theoretical and conceptual relations between Edgar Morin and Antonin Artaud. Morin offers, from an anthropological perspective, a
relation between cinema and magical thinking. This relation is established through the cinema as the materialization of an illusion that has significant social functions. The relation between cinema and magic is connected in this article with Artaud’s comprehension of cinema, in the context of his proposition of sensorial renovation for the arts.
