This article develops a theoretical discussion about the map as knowledge produced under a certain regime of truth (FOUCAULT, 1982) — rules according to which the distinction of true discourse is instituted — and
an instrument that produces specific effects of power. Recognizing this “political economy of truth” (FOUCAULT, 1982, p. 13) the map is analyzed as a technical imagem that is programmed and programmer of
reality. For the philosopher Vilém Flusser (2008), a technical image does not represent a reality prior to itself, but projects signs encoded through the values that guide its production. The arguments developed in the
text start from analysis of actions and research carried out in the project Parque Ampliado do Pajeú (TEIXEIRA, 2017).
