On the meaning of the idea of honesty in Eric Weil's moral philosophy

This article presents some aspects in which the idea of honesty, in moral philosophy of Eric Weil, is presented as a synthesis of all the duties that must be practiced for moral and political self-achievement of man in modern society. For Weil, man’s ultimate reason - and the historical community’s - is to be happy and to do so, he must be moralized thus he can act politically in a perspective of responsible government.
