Wisdom and transcendence: a proposal to the concerns of contemporary man

This work is purported to address issues related to the fact that the contemporary world adopted a more pragmatic and techno-scientific world view disregarding reflection and critical thinking. Therefore, the views currently prevailing shy away from wisdom understood as a restless search for a type of knowledge that offers grounds to guide human actions in a way that favors the flourishment of human existence. It will be argued that the modernity distanced itself from wisdom by associating an individualistic perspective with a scientific approach divorced from the preoccupation with the meaning of life.
