Establishing minimal existences as a way of multiplying worlds

This article examines the concept of instauration from Étienne Souriau's philosophy and its reinterpretation by David Lapoujade, exploring modes of existence as specific, precarious, and contingent forms of becoming real. These modes are linked to Michel Foucault's approach to the lives of infamous men, which helps us perceive these fragile existences, captured at the threshold of discourse, and recognize in them a strength that resides not in their visibility, but in their persistence. We seek to introduce the concept of instauration as a way of formalizing still incomplete existences, which seek to actualize their life potential. We will explore how the right to exist of beings still in formation can be made sensitive, expanding their consistency and visibility. We conclude that instauration is also a resistance to ignorance and erasure, thus becoming an ontological gesture of defense and affirmation of other ways of existing.
