Logic Model of the Continuing Education Policy for the Expanded Family Health Center

Abstract

The logic model is a valuable management tool that allows you to visualize the operationalization of programs and policies. The objective of this study was to describe the process of development and critical analysis of the Logic Model of the implementation of the Permanent Education Policy in Health for the Teams of the Expanded Nucleus of Family Health and Primary Care in the city of Vitória, Espírito Santo. Qualitative study with elaboration and critical analysis of the logic model by two specialists in Continuing Education in Health and Primary Health Care, between October and December 2021. The critical analysis process was carried out remotely in one round. The final Logic Model has four dimensions, namely: Planning, Policy Articulation, Coordination and Conceptual, technical and practical Guidance, as well as items related to the structure, process, results and political-organizational context in the municipality, which portray the implementation of the policy for professionals.
