Aquisição da subcompetência gramatical em E-LE (Espanhol-Língua Estrangeira) mediada pelo cinema

Abstract

This article reports a research in progress that aims to promote the acquisition of global communicative competence for learners of Spanish as a foreign language through teaching units mediated by cinema. Right now, we have focused on the development of instructional materials for the exploitation of films, with emphasis on grammar subskills. For that purpose, we analyzed fragments of the film Hable con ella (Dir. Pedro Almodóvar, Spain, 2002) to develop activities that address the verb tenses. Thus, the text begins with the presentation of the concept of communicative competence in foreign language learning. After that, we discuss the use of film as a teaching tool and develop teaching units for the acquisition of grammatical competence. The film proved to be a great ally to learning a language since it is composed of authentic samples produced in the target language without manipulation with didactic purposes.
