      Abstract

This paper proposes to discuss the concept of text as discourse on the basis of the Semiolinguistic Theory (CHARAUDEAU, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010), one of the aspects of Discourse Analysis, under an interactive-communicational bias. One of the objectives is to analyse how the apprehension of the meanings of a text takes place, based on the examination of discursive operations, carried out by the enunciators, in a specific social situation and governed by a communicative contract. Therefore, it is intended to analyze the enunciative process present in a journalistic report, entitled “Under Taliban command, Afghanistan once again has music as a taboo and artists are silenced”, published digitally by Gazeta Brasil newspaper, on 8/22/2021, not only verifying how the image of the interlocutor is created and captured by various pathemic means, but also highlightning the more frequent subjectivity indexes, responsible for the reader’s adhesion. As a complement to the theme of the news text, two photos of grafitti by the Afghan artist Shamsia Hassani – whose work focuses on the oppression of women in today’s Afghan Society, specially after the take over of power by the Taliban, in August 2021 – will be presented.
