Abstract

Environmental Education plays a crucial role in raising awareness and changing behavior in relation to the environment. However, its effectiveness is often hampered by challenges such as the lack of institutionalization of environmental issues in school curricula, the limitation of teachers in addressing environmental issues and the lack of adequate teaching material. to Environmental Education (EE) of high school teachers from the state education network in the city of Juazeiro-Bahia. For this, a questionnaire with semi-structured questions was applied to six schools. Note the need for adequate training so that environmental issues, as a dimension of the educational-school process, are understood as a socio-environmental problem.
