This article focuses on the problem of minority-becoming and takes as reference the notions of becoming black, from the author Mbembe and the construction of subjectivity from Guattari, Rolnik and Deleuze. The object proposed in this study is the film Joker (US production of 2019, directed by Todd Phillips) that raises critical-philosophical questions in the audiovisual field due to its imagery production committed to social and minority segments, in the perspective pointed out by Mbembe. The challenge is to think about becoming black and the production of subjectivity based on the narrative and visual developments proposed in the film. The method adopted is speculative in its approach and theoretical-critical in its proposal.
