Announcement to the Academic Community: Management Update and Editorial Flow

The Editorial Team of Passagens: Journal of the Post-Graduate Program in Communication at UFC hereby provides clarifications regarding the progress of our activities and the new management guidelines for the publication.

We inform that throughout 2025, Passagens underwent significant structural and management transformations. During this transition, the temporary unavailability of the system and the restructuring of the editorial team impacted the processing flow of manuscripts.

With the system fully restored and under a new editorial composition, our absolute priority is to regularize the backlog of pending submissions. We are committed to editing and publishing the articles, essays, and reviews currently in the Continuous Flow and Thematic Dossiers.

To ensure that this backlog is processed with the necessary rigor and speed, we announce a temporary suspension of new submissions. This measure is essential for us to normalize the pending archive without compromising the quality of peer review and editing.

We appreciate the understanding of the researchers awaiting feedback on their submissions. Our forecast is that pending submissions will be processed and published within the first semester of 2026. Starting in the second semester, the system will reopen for new submissions in an agile, efficient manner, and in full compliance with editorial standards.
