Zones of communicative experimentation and emancipatory poetics of marronage

Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on the relationship between vulnerability and resistance through the creation of spaces of heterotopic experimentation in which the poetics of marooning are practiced. We understand that such poetics allows an understanding of emancipatory tactics as a vital part of a relational process of affirmation and interdependence. Relational agency, alliances and the development of lines of flight compose insurgent zones against mechanisms that seeks to discipline and control subjects and especially groups perceived as vulnerable (by leaving them in a context of individual guilt for their failure and in isolation). We argue that the conditions of vulnerability can be modified, once each subject is placed in a network of relations marked by a field of forces here considered from the decolonial perspective of Dénetèm Touam Bona in dialogue with Jacques Rancière and Marie-José Mondzain. In conclusion, we propose an approach to the concept of vulnerability based on the creation of experimental zones capable of critically challenging neoliberal ideology and its defense of invulnerability as a rule to follow for the benefit of a surplus of security, immunization and control.
