Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the lexical variation in the semantic field Behavior and Social Conviviality, based on data present in the Atlas Geossociolinguístico Quilombola do Nordeste do Pará (AGQUINPA), an atlas prepared based on the theoretical-methodological framework of Linguistic Geography. The semantic field chosen for this study encompasses issues related to the psychological and behavioral characteristics of human beings. To obtain the data, a semantic-lexical questionnaire was applied to four socially stratified informants in six remaining quilombo communities. The data were then tabulated and mapped using QGIS software. For the description and analysis, we chose five cards that showed a high rate of variation, namely: a) chatty person (map L94), b) unintelligent person (map L95), c) stingy (map L96), d) prostitute (map L99) and e) drunk (map L101). The maps showed a significant number of variants and were similar to other geolinguistic works.
