Do pulsar ao corpo-esquizofônico
Schizomachine, um exercício de escutas possíveis
Abstract
Schizomachine is a work-research in progress, result of a long process of investigation about music, design and its proximities, in which listening, the body and the imperceptible silence appear as concepts that trigger ideas. It is both a conceptual and experimental proposal of a wearable system under development, which aims to make some sensitive communication processes of the human body visible by means of mapping and monitoring methods of the subject’s physiological parameters and translation/transduction of these data into light, during the aesthetic experience. To tell a little about the history of this research, in this article, we will address some guiding concepts, both in the conceptual aspect and in the production of the interface, starting with listening, by Pierre Schaeffer. In addition to listening, the body, a concept that appears in Schaeffer's studies combined with sound, will be revised under the eyes of Deleuze and Guattari, inspired by Espinosa, so that, at the end, we bring a proposal of a schizophonic-body, through a “microscopic” look on the concept of schizophonia, by Murray Schafer.
