To the master with affection
memories of a plural pedagogical praxis

In this apology-essay, we build a narrative about the pedagogical praxis of Professor Gilmar de Carvalho, during his work in the Social Communication Course at the Federal University of Ceará. We use our memories of student life to reflect on the plural working methods of a teacher who affected us and was directly responsible for building our teaching careers and those of several other professionals in communication, journalism and education. To do so, we immerse ourselves in a writing with biographical marks that intertwines with our analytical gaze of professors and researchers, in a dialectical movement that balances itself in the self-other; past - present relationships, so that we can trace an imprecise but affective drawing of the educator Gilmar.
