Resumo

This article presents a study, which proposes a reflection concerning the nurse’s performance departing from new attitudes and new work proposals of the Center of Psychosocial Attention users. The new proposals hereafter point to the necessity of interdisciplinary teamwork as the main instrument of transformation of the previous assistance model, the hospital-centric one. The construction of teamwork is made necessary and it is shown to be efficient throughout the time. This new scene of performance for the nurse sends him to a place of search and creativity as well as of innovative instruments in the professional practice. In this new attention scenario the assistance must be given individually and humanistically, respecting the person, the way she lives and how she deals with mental suffering.
