Struggle for recognition: Axel Honneth's contribution to the analysis of social conflicts

Abstract

This paper presents a critical reconstruction of the main argumentative steps presented by Honneth in his major book (Struggle for recognition ...) about the thesis of the moral grammar of social conflicts. Strictly, this article seeks to problematize the main theses on the recognition and denied recognition, which converge to the explanation of reactive capacity responsible for articulating conflicts of changes in society. Broadly, the text seeks to identify the argumentative spirit of the Honneth’s investigation and the main criticisms that you are targeted.
