Abstract

One question that guides our dossier is: did the guarantee of new rights result in the realization of citizenship for the new subjects? Thus, the dossier sought to receive unpublished studies, preferably derived from empirical research, which conduct the dialogue between Political Science, Sociology, History, Law and other related areas, and that somehow answer our guiding question. Therefore, it is from the language and studies of authors from the South, without disregarding the pertinent and northern teachings, that it is possible to more reliably analyze the new subjects, since they are not speaking from outside cabinets is often the subject himself talking about himself. Therefore, the dossier “New subjects, new rights and citizenship: perspectives of the South”, proposed to stimulate the elaboration of analyzes that reflect on the new subjects and new rights from authors, epistemologies and debates of the South.
