Abstract

This is a theoretical paper about the mass manifestations occurred between 2013 to 2016, in Brazil. From the conceptions of Canetti and Sloterdijk, it sought a characterization of the modern and contemporary masses. It was observed that the mass movements occurred after 2013 adopted characteristics of the two masses, being necessary to call them postmodern masses. In these masses, there was a evident separation between demonstrators and vandals. In these, a cynical transvaluation was perceived, capable of extrapolating the values of capitalist society.
