Participating in the political debate and building positions based on discursive events is also a practice of historical analysis. Thus, this paper aims to analyze, under the theoretical postulate of French Discourse Analysis, a cartoon that, by producing humorous effects, translates an exercise of resistance to the elitist political discourse of the then Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, when he criticizes the fact that maids are going to Disney. Furthermore, we reflect on new and multiliteracies, in their relationship with the discursive perspective of analysis of the aforementioned cartoon, published in digital media, observing the relevance of its study for reading and text interpretation classes. In this sense, this investigation is configured in empirical research, whose interpretative method, by identifying regularities in statements belonging to an elitist political discursive formation, observes how these are evidenced in the humorous counter-conduct of the charge genre. If among the effects that emerge from this political discourse is the subalternization of subjects, the charge, on the other hand, fits as a genre that shares certain characteristics with the anti-capitalist, anti-colonialist, and "anti-subalternizing" struggle of society. It emerges, in the media field, as a discursive practice that forges responses not only to the political subject that legitimates its discourse, but also to the enunciative position of the reader subject that questions it.
