Adenoide: uma personagem sociolinguística

The article deals with the character Adenoid, who integrates the TV series “Pé na cova”, in a sociolinguistic variationist perspective, of labovian line. Intended to show the characteristics of the character under the sociolinguistic bias, with approach of the lexicon used in everyday speech. It presents the characteristics of the program, theoretical and conceptual aspects of variationist sociolinguistics and lexicon. The selection analysis of some of the speeches of the character in three programs, shown on April 08, 15 and 22, 2014, is used as the methodological procedure. Adenoid represents the colloquial speech of the Brazilians with little schooling, with lexical creativity that marks the culture of our people.
