A Construção do Erotismo em Memória Corporal, de Roberto Pontes
Abstract
This article investigates the construction of eroticism in the book of poems Memória Corporal (1982), by Roberto Pontes, based on the use of metaphors that are strongly related to the provocation of the five senses of human perception. Understanding eroticism as that which affects the soul through visible forms, according to Octávio Paz (1994), this work also looks to Aristotle (2006) and Étienne de Condillac (1984) for critical reflection around sensations and to analyze the way metaphors are constructed by the poet and generate images capable of affecting the senses and moving the being for an alteration of state. This makes us understand there is in Roberto Pontes a metaphorical construction openly focused on the provocation of the senses, configuring Memória Corporal (1982) more than a book of erotic poetry, a book of sensibilities.
