Abstract

This text addresses the creative work entitled afroqueer in the context of cultural/sexual, ethnic-racial, gender and class diversity. This calls for a strategic moviment of enunciative possibilities to touch the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transsexual, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual and related communities – LGBTTQIAP+. In this way, there is a question to think about: how is diversity constituted, today, in Latin communities between decolonial plurality and poetic experimentation? The objective is to develop a critical-reflective debate about the afroqueer as a creative project in the field of contemporary art. Based on contemporary studies, it is interesting to propose a methodological approach, in essay format, by showing three categories: experience, flexibility and versatility. Certainly, the essay allows the election of values, principles and derivations of the decolonial (re)dimension, which strategically (re)conducts a fertile territory for the creation process in Latin America. To think about the plural as the production of knowledge, subjectivity and information evidences an academic, intelectual and artistic position that confronts the hegemonic system.
