phraseology and humor in the speech of the character Magda
Abstract
The objective of this work is to analyze linguistic alterations observed in phraseologisms to produce the effect of humor in the speech of the character Magda in the television program Sai de Baixo. For that, we anchor ourselves in the phraseological conception adopted by Mejri (1997; 2012) and in Gross (1996) and Tagnin (2005), when it comes to decrystallization and conventionality. About humor, we made use of the assumptions described by Bergson (1983), Freud (1974 [1927]) and Possenti (1998; 2010). The data that make up the corpus were extracted from a video compiled of Magda's speeches, available on Youtube, referring to the 1997 and 1998 seasons. in the lines of the character Magda, but this same operation does not change the understanding of the crystallized phraseologism, due to the phraseological competence (ORTIZ ALVAREZ, 2015) that is activated by the public, also showing the fixed and semi-fixed character of these structures in the language.
